About Us
Welcome to Fresh Nostalgia! We are a unique, whimsical, eclectic & vintage inspired fashion boutique catering to creative professionals in the Pittsburgh area and beyond. While shopping can be quite therapeutic and fun, sometimes we’re just too busy running the kids around to various functions or attending those afterwork networking events to find those hours needed to peruse the racks and find that perfect outfit.
That’s where Fresh Nostalgia comes in! We began as a fashion truck in York, PA and are excited to now be a part of downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District community in our second brick and mortar location! We are eager to provide you with the latest fashion trends, outfit ideas and inspiration to look your best be it at work, dinner with friends, or a night out on the town. Owner Beth Buenaventura hand curates all the styles to provide a unique selection you can't find online or in those big overwhelming department stores. With the Fresh Nostalgia Boutique and the Fresh Nostalgia Online Boutique she sets out to to make fashion easy and accessible!
We are happy to say that we are now open at 143 6th Street in the Cultural District and we couldn't be more pleased with FN's new home! Visit this site often for updates on community events being held right in our shop or follow FN on Instagram or Facebook!
Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the shop!
How It All Started
I started Fresh Nostalgia for one sole reason – my love of fashion which goes back a pretty long way. From when I was a small child, the youngest of five, I was completely obsessed with clothes, shoes, handbags…you name it. I would line up my mother’s shoes in her room and play shoe store for hours. If my mother dressed me in an outfit that I did not approve of, I would dig in my heels and have a look on my face like the one in this picture.
So from a very early age, it was important to me to feel good in the clothes that I was wearing. I was more confident, energized and alive when I loved my outfit. In my teen years, I never thought to translate that into a career so I ended up at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a degree in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition. While I had some amazing experiences in that field, it still didn’t feed the creativity inside of me. So once I realized where my true passion was, it was an easy decision to build Fresh Nostalgia. Just moving back to Pittsburgh after being away for 14 years, I am energized by the culture and vibrancy that has been springing up downtown and throughout the region.
I hope to share my love of style and fashion with anyone looking to feel awesome in their clothes – the way every woman should.
